Loser Buys turns your friends’ step counts into a running bet. Pick a round, walk your own days, and when results lock, the lowest average buys the ice cream.
What it is
A free iPhone and Android app for friend groups, families and coworkers. Your phone already counts your steps, so there’s nothing to wear. Groups race by the day, the week or the month, with sick days, visible hand-typed steps and a live board that shows who is buying right now.
Free covers 3 groups of up to 10 people. Pro is $14.99 a year or $2.99 a month, and one organizer’s Pro covers the whole group.
Why it exists
Step challenges fizzle when the rules feel unfair: a friend in another time zone, a week off sick, someone typing in 40,000 steps. Loser Buys fixes the rules first, so the only thing left to argue about is who’s buying.
